Halloween Events in the Grand Valley

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Friday night was the 12th Annual Special Olympics Harvest Gathering.

More than 500 people packed the Lincoln Park Barn where there was free dinner, face painting, a costume contest and a whole lot more.

It was a night for the community to have fun but to also raise awareness for volunteers and anyone else who would like to be involved in helping with the Special Olympics.

If you missed the event on Friday, there are several other Halloween activities going on this weekend.

Fruita Truck-N-Treat
Saturday, October 27 from 10:00 a.m. - Noon.
Civic Center, 325 E. Aspen Ave.
Kids can explore fire trucks, dump trucks, police cars and tractors and collect candy from the drivers. It's a free event that's open to all ages.

Montrose Fall Fun Fest
Saturday, October 27 from Noon - 4:00 p.m.
Downtown Montrose
Schools and youth organizations are setting up games and activity booths for children to play and win candy or prize.

Grand Junction Spooktacular
Saturday, October 27 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Between 6th and Main Streets
Free family fun event for kids up to 12 years old. There will be cookie and pumpkin decorating, a costume parade and entertainment.

Western Colorado Chorale Presents "Sacred & Profane'
Saturday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m.
Moss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall at CMU
"Great anthems and music for trick-or-treating."

Ghost Walk through Linwood Cemetery
Tours Each Night Starting at 7:00, 7:45, 8:30 and 9:15 p.m.
Linwood Cemetery, Glenwood Springs
Tours by lantern light of the old cemetery where costumed actors portray pioneers from Glenwood Springs' past.

Crime Stoppers Halloween Party
Monday, October 29 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Nick-N-Willy's Pizza, 683 Horizon Drive
There will be vehicles from the Sheriff's Office and fire department, bump and jumps, face painting, games, prizes and candy. A portion of sales from the pumpkin shaped pizzas will go to Crime Stoppers of Mesa County.

Delta Trick-Or-Treat With the Merchants
Wednesday, October 31 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Main Street
Merchants will open up their stores to trick-or-treaters downtown.
