HOPE of the Grand Valley Looks for Donors
KREX News Room
FRUITA, Colo.- Officials with HOPE of the Grand Valley say they're making progress with their Stonehaven Project but are in need of help.
The organization is working towards building a home for families who are struggling, and not eligible to receive government assistance. Since this project is so unique, officials say they have had trouble receiving grants and other aid.
They’re relying on community support for the project, and without additional help, may not be able to make the project happen and help these individuals.
“If you are constantly figuring out how to pay the rent, buy food and clothes for the kids, and get them to and from school, and do all of those things without support, then you don’t have any hope,” said Vicki McGee, founder of HOPE of the Grand Valley. “That’s what HOPE of the Grand Valley is all about giving: hope.”
