GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Several volunteers taking part in Monday's National Day of Service headed to the Chipeta Community Garden to do some good.

The group, Humanists Doing Good, say they took advantage of the day off from work and school to help rehabilitate the garden that will help the Grand Valley.

"If nobody does any good in the community then it's just going to fall apart, especially when there's a day designated to it, especially names after somebody who that's what they did in life, it's just a good day to go out and do it," said Wade Toothaker, a Humanists Doing Good volunteer.

The group bared the chilly weather for several hours to re-soil the plant boxes and restructure their foundations.
