Group Kayaks Entire Colorado River

PALISADE, Colo.- A team of four is kayaking down the Colorado River from its source in Rocky Mountain National Park to the Gulf of California to raise awareness about water issues.

The group stopped in Palisade Wednesday. The team members plan to make many stops on their visit, talking to local decision makers and stakeholders. They are hoping to gather water quality data and information about issues specific to each region they pass through.

"We're all connected by the river we see behind us whether or not we realize it, and we just want to get people thinking about how their water use affects other water users within the basin," said Zak Podmore, one of the kayakers who made a similar expedition last year.

They should now go detox, as the natural gas drilling companies are allowed to dump 40% of the millions of gallons of produced water, BACK INTO the Colorado. Dangerous!! Stay out of the river.
