MESA COUNTY, Colo. - A reminder for those who use irrigation canals in the valley, they will be shut off beginning Thursday.

Officials with Grand Valley Irrigation, the company who owns the canals, say it's just that time of year and to prepare for the winter, they will be shutting down irrigation.

That shut off will begin October 25 and officials say they plan on reopening the canals in April 2013.
