GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The Grand Mesa Chorus dazzled a large crowd Saturday night at Colorado Mesa University.
The Chorus performed 'Sequins On Parade' with 30 women, and with some help from Orchard Avenue singers.
The chorus also gave away their annual scholarships to two girls for $1,000 each.
They say it's important to encourage the youth to keep singing.
"So we want to keep our youth singing music because they take that out of the schools, and we want to keep the harmonies going throughout. We don't want to be a dying breed," said Tammy Schler, director of Grand Mesa Chorus.
More than 12 girls applied for the scholarship.
The chorus practices every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
