Grand Junction’s Food Taxi Extends Delivery Options

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A Grand Junction based company known for helping make the lives of local residents more convenient has added a new delivery option just in time for the holiday season.

Grand Junction's Food Taxi has been delivering food to people for nearly a half a year, and owners say to keep up with the demand of their customers, they will now start to deliver liquor, wine and beer.
They hope this will help keep those from getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.

“It’s more convenient and also it’s great because the delivery fee is a lot cheaper than getting a DUI,” said Sharon Petty, owner of Food Taxi. “So you just have it delivered to your house and save on all that.”

Owners say customers should have their ID ready at the door when they arrive with the beverages. They say to ensure the person is 21 or older, they mark down the number on their driver’s license.

Food Taxi has partnered up with Crossroad Wine & Sprits to provide the new services. To be eligible for home delivery, interested customers must pre-register with Crossroads.

Food Taxi will be closed on Christmas but will be open on Christmas Eve and for New Years.
