Grand Junction Store Promotes 'Shop Local' Movement

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The well known local clothing designer Eileen Fischer is partnering with a downtown Grand Junction business to promote a "shop local" movement.

The shop, Main Paige, has been carrying the designer's line since the very beginning.

Between the two efforts, they want to support the movement called "Live Life Local," and encourage folks to shop in neighborhood stores.

“The more we can do to help each other in all aspects of life, I think is very important,” said Beth Bauerle, owner of Main Paige. “We should keep our dollars local and keep our jobs local. It just makes sense.”

Main Paige will be celebrating the movement with daily deals and
discounts.

They will also be hosting special guests throughout the week.

The shop is located at 542 Main St. in Grand Junction, and will be holding these events starting Wednesday and going through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH LOCAL JOBS TO KEEP PEOPLE HERE AND PAY THE HIGH COST OF LIVING HERE, SO WE TRAVEL AND SPEND OUR PAY CHECKS IN OTHER STATES THAT KEEP PEOPLE WORKING
