Grand Junction Police Gearing up For Big Move

by KREX News Room
by Angela Scott

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The construction of the new police building in Grand Junction is moving along, and right on schedule.

The outside of the building is almost finished. Just a few last minute details are being completed.

The city of Grand Junction received a temporary certificate of occupancy on July 13, which allows them to move furniture and other necessities into the new building.

Kate Porras, a spokesperson for the GJPD, said they will begin offering services to the public out of the new building in August.

For now, everyone still needs to use the old building using the Ute Avenue entrance.
