DE BEQUE, Colo.- We now know the identity of a Grand Junction man killed after rolling his vehicle near De Beque early Sunday morning.

The Garfield County Coroner is confirming that 29-year-old Carlos Ivan Guerrero Montes was killed due to blunt force trauma to the chest.

Colorado State Patrol says the accident happened just after midnight on Interstate 70 at mile post 67.

Montes, who was driving a Jeep Cherokee eastbound, lost control and drove off the left side of the road.

The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top in the center median.

CSP reports Montes was wearing his seat belt, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Weather was clear and roads were dry at the time of the crash, and authorities are considering alcohol as a potential contributing factor.

A toxicology report is pending.
