Grand Junction Man Arrested for Menacing

by KREX News Room

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Grand Junction Police arrested 43-year-old Michael Rickards, after an investigation revealed he menaced four victims with what they believed to be a hand gun.

According to the arrest affidavit, James Crespin was trying to serve some papers for a motorcycle Rickards had not paid for.

When Rickards opened the door, he held what appeared to be a gun and struck Crespin as he walked away.

While Crespin was driving away with three people in the car, witnesses in the car say Rickards pointed the gun at their vehicle.

Police later questioned him, where he denied the allegations.

While police searched his home, they found a BB gun matching the description of the weapon.

Rickards is facing four counts of felony menacing and second degree assault with a deadly weapon.
