Good Samaritan Acts as Santa to Family Who Lost Home in Fire

Grand Junction - A charitable man gives his gifts early this year, to a family whose Whitewater home was lost in a fire earlier this December.

After hearing that a family with two young children lost all of their belongings in the fire, Steve Stewart, a member of the Grand Junction Lion's Club, worked with American Furniture Warehouse and other clothing and shoe stores to fill a storage unit with beds, a TV, and a dinette set, as well as Christmas Gifts for the kids.

Stewart worked with members of the community to plan the surprise and also used funds from the Lion's Club to give the family $200 worth of Wal-mart gift cards.
