Gold’s Gym Opens in Montrose

MONTROSE, Colo.- Gold's Gym has opened its new facility in Montrose.

Doors opened a few days ago, and although they're still in their "soft opening,” workers there say they already have tons of people joining.

The 25,000-square foot gym offers equipment ranging from treadmills to weight machines, as well as unlimited classes and a cardio cinema.

Managers say Montrose has been looking for a club like this for quite some time.

“It’s a full-scale gym with full-scale services,” said Matt Makowski, general manager of Gold’s Gym in Montrose. “They can come and utilize the gym at a reasonable price. I think Montrose deserves this. The knowledge and expertise we are bringing down and that we have in here for them, I think it's going to help Montrose.”

The gym is located at 1840 Main St. in Montrose.

An official grand opening is scheduled for Jan. 1.
