by KREX News Room

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.- The Glenwood Hot Springs has a new president heading into its 125th year.

Before the celebration begins, they will be celebrating new executives at the resort and the hard work done by past executives.

Glenwood Hot Springs announced its long time owner and president Henry Bosco would be stepping down and passing the torch to Kjell Mitchell.

Mitchell has been the general manager at the resort since 1989 and was awarded the honor of Hotelier of the Year in 2010 by the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association.

Bosco, who was inducted into the Glenwood Springs Business Hall of Fame in 2009, will continue to serve as owner and chairman of the board.

John Bosco has also been promoted to vice president and chief financial officer.

Glenwood Hot Springs officials say they are in the midst of making plans for the historic 125th birthday and will likely release more details in 2013.
