Glade Park Fire Dept. Hosting Wildfire Preparation Workshop

GLADE PARK, Colo.- Fire officials are hosting a wildfire prevention and preparation workshop in Glade Park Tuesday.
In a joint meeting, the Glade Park Volunteer Department, Mesa County, and Upper Colorado River Interagency Management Unit are hosting "Ready, Set Go!" workshop, which will inform homeowners and residents on what they can do to protect their homes from wildfires.
The workshop will include news about the Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department, the current fire threat and history of wildfires for Glade Park, Creating a Defensible Space Around Your Home, Family Preparation, Evacuation Planning, How and Where to Get Help and a Presentation of the Fuels Reduction Project Proposals by the Bureau of Land Management.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Glade Park Fire Department.
