MESA COUNTY, Colo. - A Girl Scout's troop leader has been arrested after confessing to stealing $6,000 from the youth organization.

According to a Mesa County Sheriff's arrest affidavit, 27-year-old Carmen Wysong admitted to using the cooking sale proceeds for a deposit on a home in Mack, as well as rent, utility and truck payments, food and other expenses.

Originally, Wysong allegedly reported the money missing in March telling authorities she believed it had been stolen

An investigation prompted Wysong's confession. She is being charged with one count of felony theft.
