Girl Scouts Kick Off Cookie Season

by KREX News Room
by John Dias

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- It's that time of the year again to get your hands on your favorite girl scout cookies.

The treats recently went on sale but the girls officially kicked off the season on Friday by hosting a party at the Alpine Bank in downtown Grand Junction.

They set up shop all day, where they sold the cookies and also learned about money management.

“It will help out our troops and also, it will really help out us to get our cookie credits,” said Delaney Kidd, Girl Scout. “It helps us go to a camp or get other stuff from a Girl Scout store.”

If you missed your chance to get your cookies on Friday, they will still be on sale for weeks.

You can download an app for your smart phone where you can look up the closest place to buy them.
