MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Folks can get rid of their unused prescription drugs safely at a drug take-back event happening Saturday, Sept. 29.

Local law enforcement is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the event.

Officials say it'll help keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands, as well as our ecosystem.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

You can drop-off drugs at four locations: the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the Grand Junction and Fruita police departments, as well as Palisade City Hall.
