'Gas Man' Group Cuts Gas Prices for a Day

CLIFTON, Colo.- On Friday, cars lined up all along 32 Road to get gas at the lowest price it's been in years.

A conservative group called Morning in America says they brought the gas price down to the national average from January 2009 for one day only.

Organizers said it was their way of showing folks how much gas prices have risen since President Barack Obama first took office.

Some supported their cause and others were just happy to grab a deal.

"I thought there was an accident and I kind of stopped to try to lend a hand, and then I found out that there was lower, cheaper gas," said Paul Decock of Grand Junction.

"There's certain energy policies you can put forth that will definitely get us off foreign oil. This president promised we'd be off foreign oil by the end of this decade and we're no where close," said Tyler Houlton, president of Compass Colorado.

The first 150 cars to line up were able to get up to 15 gallons of unleaded fuel for the discounted price of $1.84/gallon.
