RIFLE, Colo- The 74th annual Garfield County Fair is open to the public as of Monday night. Opening night festivities included a family rodeo with family barrel roping and racing.

Food vendors are set to unload Tuesday, with Wednesday being the target day for the fair to
be in full swing.

A number of main events will be featured in this year's fair including a motorcycle FMX stunt show, demolition derby and draft horse pull.

Fair officials are also welcoming back an old favorite this year. "Last year we had a PBR rodeo and the general public said they wanted to see barrel racing and roping, so we brought the CPRA back," said fair coordinator Krista DeHerrera.

The Colorado Pro Rodeo Association event will feature steer wrestling, bull riding, bareback riding, mixed team roping, tie down roping among other events.

Admission to the fair is free, but the main events require tickets. For a complete list of those events and prices click here.

The fair runs from July 30 to August 5.
