Garfield County Air Show Kicks Off Friday

RIFLE, Colo.- The Garfield County Air Show takes place this Friday and Saturday at the Rifle Airport.

Event coordinators say there will be music, games and lots of socializing, but of course, amazing airplanes and jets will take over the sky.

On Thursday, officials were getting ready for the big days ahead.

Dozens of aircraft arrived at Rifle Airport and many of the pilots in the show prepared for their stunts.

Gates open Friday at 11 a.m. The kids air show is at 2:30 p.m. and the afternoon show is at 6 p.m. The first night ends with the twilight show at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, gates open at 10 a.m. with a day show, then live music starting at 2 p.m. and the finale starting at 4 p.m.
