GJPD Responds to Possible Bomb Threat

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Grand Junction Police officers respond to a report about a possible bomb threat near Eagle Rim Park.

On August 1, police officers responded to the area of 349 27 3/8 Road where someone reported to authorities that they saw a man telling people he had a homemade device.

No one was there when officers arrived, though they did find an object wrapped in tape.

The bomb squad checked the device and rendered it safe.
