GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Some big news came out of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership on Wednesday.

The group announced their $1.5 million fundraising campaign that will help sustain the economic activities in the Grand Valley.

Officials say economic development is a team sport.

“We really want to be able to support local businesses if they need help,” said Kelly Flenniken, of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership. “We also really want residents to understand that economic development is going to make the pie bigger, so we all benefit in the end.”

Thanks to the help of several local organizations, the partnership has already raised nearly half the funds.

Look at the smashing results this organization has had in the past. We don't need to support the same tired old businesses, we need exciting new ones!
