by KREX News Room

Grand Junction - A Grand Junction man accused of shooting a Fort Campbell soldier to death will not be tried in Mesa County. Jarred long waived his right for an extradition hearing Wednesday morning, and will be sent back to Kentucky. Long will be held in a mesa county jail cell without bond until the extradition.

He was arrested this weekend by Mesa County Sheriff's deputies after a traffic stop near the Walmart on North Avenue. Long is suspected of shooting Vincent Goslyn in Kentucky last week.
