GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Grand Junction city election is just weeks away. On Tuesday, candidates gathered at Two Rivers Convention Center to talk about the issues. The forum was organized by the Grand Junction Lion's Club.

One issue discussed was Referendum A, a measure dealing with the Brady Trucking zoning dispute. All candidates said they support this item.

Another issue discussed was Measure B, the tabor measure. Some candidates voiced their support for it while others said they will support what the voters choose.

Denise Richardson, president of the Grand Junction Lion's Club, said, "We like to provide the right information at the right time for our large number of members, and with the amount of money we give back to the community every year, we felt like the city council has something to say about the money we donate."

The Grand Junction city election is on April 2. Voters should be receiving their ballots in the mail in the next few days.

For me the vote is easy. Any incumbent or current government employee is an automatic no vote. One is either a part of the problem or a part of the solution.
