GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- On Friday night another fundraiser was held for the baby who was born with half of a heart.

NewsChannel 5 first published baby Jason Gutierrez's story when his family asked for funding to help with a surgery he needed in order to begin rebuilding a healthy heart.

Following two open heart surgeries, his congenital heart defect led him to a specialty doctor in California, where he is now recovering from another surgery.

Baby Jason has at least two more surgeries left.

Friday's fundraiser, which was held at the Chipeta Golf Course, featured glow golf, raffle tickets and a buffet of food.

It also included a very special cake made in the 1-year-old's honor.

Residents who missed out and would still like to donate can do so through a fund set up at Bank of the West.
