FORT COLLINS, Colo.- Colorado landowners and communities that want to protect forested areas from wildfires and other forest health concerns may be eligible for grant funding from the Colorado State Forest Service.

Projects that would be considered for the grant program, should focus on mitigating threats for wildfires, preserving older trees and replanting deforested areas.

Proposals are due by Feb. 27.

Additional information and applications about the Forest Restoration Program are available at Colorado State Forest Service
