Fruita Police Continue to Investigate Burglary

FRUITA, Colo.- Fruita Police are investigating a burglary that happened Tuesday involving three juveniles.

Officers were notified of a burglary that occurred around 10 a.m. at a residence.

Property stolen in the burglary included a rile, a shotgun, various boxes of ammunition and two laptop computers.

Officers were later able to track down the truck the suspect fled in at 24 Road and H Road.

Officials say a 17-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were inside the truck, as well as all the stolen items.

Fruita Police sent the two boys to the Division of Youth Corrections for pre-existing warrants.

The juvenile girl was released.

Officials say charges are pending related to the burglary case.
