Fruita Fourth Friday Art Walks Kickoff

FRUITA, Colo. - A new community tradition started in Fruita Friday night.

Local businesses and art galleries teamed up for the first, Fourth Friday Art Walk.

The Rose Hue Gallery and several others served food, drinks and showed off the latest works from local artists.

"It's important for the artist because they're very limited in what they can do for economic and business reasons, it's good for the community because it's a cultural growth and I think that's very important with our small town," said Aaron Acker, a local traditional oil painter.

The art walks are set to take place the fourth Friday of every month with new artists and locations being featured each time.
