"Freedom Colorado" Announces Upcoming Events

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A new conservative group is looking to gather more members to help make change in the community.

The group is called the Freedom Colorado Organization and say they're looking to get back to the grassroots efforts of making change locally before moving to the state or national level.

"We have so many problems in this country. As a nation we are spending too much money and we're not bringing in enough and our Republican friends, some of them in Washington, seem to want to compromise and raise taxes as opposed to cut spending, we can't afford that anymore," said Kevin McCarney, Chairman for Freedom Colorado.

On March 14 the organization will be holding a City Council candidate forum at the Grand Junction City Hall.

On April 13 they will be holding a freedom rally in Lincoln Park.

There is a big difference between the classic definition of liberal and the Marxist progressives of today that disguise themselves as democrats. True liberals who fit the classic definition of the word are not bigoted against people with different viewpoints and do embrace opinions different than their own. Conservatives are supposed to be considerate of your different views and are publicly attacked when their own views differ from a Marxist progressive, called racists when disagreement with sovereign Barry. Yet it is ok for you to publicly mock people having a pro-constituion rally. Why the double standard? A true liberal would despise such hypocrisy.

Why are you trying to infringe on my freedom of carrying my super soaker? Why such close mindedness w/ my choice of protection? Am I not entitled to the same rights just because I am a liberal? What is this freedom you all talk about? I was born and raised in Colorado, own my own business, pay my taxes, never been arrested. Triple dog dare me? Are you worried I have fracking fluid in my super soaker?

Jeff, I triple dog-dare you to go to the rally. I know it is a lot to ask, but why don't you leave the super-soaker at home and bring an open mind instead?

If you don't like someone else's politics that's OK. At least have the courtesy to respect their rights to their opinions. Regardless of the group, if you show up intending to cause trouble you may actually find it.

Good to see people still have the desire to do good. But look around, read the comments directed at you. Not only are you fighting the corruption perminating all levels of government, you also battle these conscripted Hessians. It is too late to save the existing system. Just walk away and let it morph into the next stage, Fascism.

When Social Security was enacted FDR himself PROMISED that the "contribution" ( tax ) would be strictly voluntary AND that it would never exceed 2%. He lied, but even then it was never meant to be a retirement program or support system. I am taxed out, people. There is no incentive to create a business and take the risks associated when the gov't keeps confiscating my profits so that people can keep nursing on the public teat. Get the gov't off our backs and out of our pockets....then the real jobs will come and you may make your own living.
