Former Officer Gets 70 to Life in Child Sex Assault Case

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A former Colorado Springs police officer has been sentenced to 70 years to life in prison for inappropriately touching middle school students. The Colorado Springs Gazette reports prosecutors say Joshua Carrier must serve the full 70 years before he is eligible for parole. He was accused of fondling and videotaping wrestlers for Horace Mann Middle School, where he volunteered as an assistant wrestling coach.
