EAGLE, Colo.- A former Basalt High School teacher recently charged for sexually assaulting a student has another encounter with the law. This violates her bond conditions, putting her behind bars.

Lauren Redfern, 26, of Basalt, was arrested in February 2012 on charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust with a pattern of sexual abuse, a Class 3 felony.

She's currently awaiting sentencing.

It was on June 10 when the National Park Service in Utah discovered 28 grams of suspected illegal hallucinogenic mushrooms, a 12 gauge shotgun, shotgun ammunition, and numerous cans of beer and alcoholic beverage bottles at a campsite where Redfern and five other people were staying.

According to the National Park Service, Redfern was cited for prohibited use of a weapon and released.

Other charges are currently under investigation.

Detectives with the Eagle County Sheriff's Office say Redfern violated her bond conditions that prohibited the consumption of alcoholic beverages and leaving the state of Colorado.

The Eagle County Sheriff's office issued an arrest warrant for violation of bond conditions and Redfern was later booked into the Eagle County Detention Facility, where she's being held on $10,000 bond.
