Flag Delivery Scheduled for Labor Day

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The Redlands Lions Club will put out flags for its customers Monday in honor of Labor Day.

Lions Club members put American flags out on nine different holidays.

It costs $30 for the full year's worth of flagged holidays.

Members in the club say it's one of their biggest fundraisers.

In fact, the demand is so high for these flag deliveries, they need more members in the club so they can flag more houses.

"We have about 650 to 700 flag customers. We could have probably two or three times that amount, but our membership limits the amount of flags we can handle," said Paul Coe, a member of the Redlands Lions Club.

The Lions Club also delivers flags on Sept. 11, to make up for any holidays missed due to intense weather.

They say the rate of $30 can be prorated.
