First Lady in Durango Wednesday

by KREX News Room
by Christina Marrazza

DENVER- First lady Michelle Obama is kicking off a two-day trip to Colorado Wednesday.

She has events planned in Durango and Fountain; she's also scheduled to speak in Castle Rock Thursday.

On Tuesday Michelle Obama stumped for her husband in northern Virginia, saying "cutting Sesame Street is no way to balance the budget.''

Her remark was an indirect swipe at Republican Mitt Romney, who said at the first presidential debate that he'd cut funding for public broadcasting.

Mrs. Obama was in Colorado just last week attending that debate at the University of Denver.

Perhaps cutting the white house jet privileges and golfing fees down to business only would be a good way to balance the budget.
