Fires Cause Smoky Skies in Western Colo.

by KREX News Room

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The smoky skies have many people wondering what's going on.

Officials say the smoke is coming from fires in other states west of Colorado. The wind is blowing the smoke to our region.

Health officials say there's no reason to worry, and even though the smoke is visible, it isn't affecting anyone's health.

Experts say the smoke is up high enough so it isn't harmful, and the air quality is in good condition.

I have a severe allergies and the smoke is definitely affecting me. It's ridiculous to claim this amount of smoke in the air is no problem. What clueless "health officials/experts" are saying this?

Beg to differ, I can visually see the smoke haze in front of my face, and smell the smoke. People with seasonal allergies are affected by smoke haze more than normal people. We need some rain!
