GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- On Friday afternoon a house caught fire in the Redlands area of Grand Junction. The fire happened right around the time that Schlotzsky's Deli went up in flames.

The official cause of the house fire hasn't been determined, but Grand Junction fire officials believe it started outside the house on the north side. It then made its way into the house, quickly engulfing it.

It happened on the 2300 block of Palace Verdes Drive. A neighbor saw the flames and called 911.

Witnesses say the response from firefighters was fast and the flames were controlled fairly quickly.
Officials have not reported any injuries and they do not believe anyone was home when the fire started.

The Grand Junction Fire Department and Lower Valley Fire responded. Officials believe the house is a complete loss. The Red Cross Disaster Team is helping those displaced by the fire.
