Fee Free Day for National Parks on MLK Day

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- in 2012, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced a number of "fee free" days for visitors of over 2,000 national parks and forests.

One of those days is upcoming on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 21st.

All National Parks, Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service lands will be free of admission.

Salazar said by waiving park fees, he is hoping people will be able to connect with the outdoors and experience the wildness of Colorado.
