Families Propose Rules for Aurora Victims Fund

AURORA, Colo.- Family members of some of the people killed in the Aurora theater shooting are proposing guidelines to ensure money raised goes to the victims.

The plan was released Tuesday, ahead of Wednesday's scheduled meeting between the families and campaign officials.

Some families have criticized the fundraising efforts, saying out of more than $5 million collected, each victim's family only got $5,000 to put toward medical bills and other expenses.

Their proposals describe how the money would get paid out.

The July 20 shooting left 12 people dead and 58 injured.
