False Eviction Notices Sent Out to Grand Junction Residents

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Officials with the City of Grand Junction say they're getting reports of false eviction notices being posted on local homes.

Officials are asking homeowner who received a notice on their home to read it carefully. On the bottom of the notice, it indicates that it is not real.

According to a Grand Junction spokesperson, it's believed that the notices are being posted by a group related to the Occupy Movement.

Officials say on the rare occasion when the city does post a notice on a private residence, it wouldn't take place until a properly-identified employee makes an in-person contact. Or, if contact was made by written correspondence through the mail.
