GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. On Saturday, the Cross Orchards Historic Site hosted an all day event taking visitors back in time to experience life before cell phones and computers. This was all for their Fall Day on the Farm event.
Visitors were able to experienced many things from the past including making homemade apple cider, churning butter and also working as a blacksmith.
Organizers say the fall season is a time to appreciate the Grand Valleys important agriculture.
"This area has such a diverse agricultural area and we need to celebrate it. It's fall, you know, the crops have come in. We had a wonderful apple crop. We're pressing apple cider out of those apples. We need to celebrate that and enjoy it,” said Museum of Western Colorado Assistant Director Kay Fiegel.
Organizers say their next event will be a new exhibit this November at the Museum of the West.
