BIG BEAR, Cali. Sources tell CBS News that Christopher Dorner, the ex-cop turned suspected cop killer is dead. However, police say they have not yet recovered a body.

Authorities say Dorner barricaded himself in a cabin after exchanging gunfire with deputies.

Two officers were hit, one is dead and the other is wounded.

Police say four people died during his killing spree.

Dorner said in a manifesto on Facebook that he was hunting police officers in an effort to revenge his firing in 2009.

And just like the 911 passports that survived an inferno that melted steel, his drivers license miraculously survived.
