Engineers Forecast "Parched" Future For Colorado River Basin Residents

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. - Officials with the Senior Colorado River District say communities within the Colorado River Basin may have to cut back on their water consumption.

Officials say these the cities in towns within the basin are using water beyond their means and are hurting others depending on the water downstream.

The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports Colorado is working on a negotiation strategy prior to a seven-state meeting next week in Las Vegas.
