GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Classes at East Middle School in Grand Junction were canceled Friday due to a water line break that flooded the lower levels of the school.

School employees discovered the water line break around 6:30 a.m.

Crews will be there all day cleaning up the water, but that's not the only headache involved.

According to school officials, East Middle School was set to give an important test today. The 8th grade explore test, which is the precursor of the ACT which students take in high school, will have to be rescheduled.

The school does have extra days built into their calendar, so students won't have to make up this day.

There's no word on how much damage was done.

Classes will resume Monday.
