GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- One person has died as the result of a trailer fire in Grand Junction early Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 3:30 a.m. at the corner of Unaweep Avenue and Palmer Street.

More than a dozen firefighters responded to the scene, where the RV was fully engulfed in flames. They were able to put out the fire quickly, but the RV was severely damaged.

The cause is unknown at this time, but witnesses reported hearing a loud boom, which officials say could mean a propane tank exploded.

A complete investigation is underway.
