Military Families In Need of Assistance During Holiday Season

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Many military families are in need of help this holiday season, as many still have loved ones overseas.

'Toys for our Tiny Soldiers,' is accepting toy donations for military families to provide some assistance this holiday season.

Organizers are asking for people to donate a new, unwrapped gift.

Anyone with a military ID can attend the Santa Shop party on December 15, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. to pick up a gift for their children to bring home to put under the tree.

"I'm a military wife, I've lived it on both sides, I've been a deployed spouse. I know how families can struggle, and I see how hard it is for them to ask for help. This is my way of giving it to them without them actually having to ask," said Danielle Hindson, family assistance specialist.

They're several drop off locations including, Gold's Gym, Overhead Door, Randy's Southside Diner, Rib City, Ed Bozarth, Vectra Bank, and Monument Inkjet.

Call Danielle for more information (720)-250-5571.

It's a shame they have to even be in this situation, they fight for our freedom, they should be paid top dollar. God Bless our military people.

I completely agree with Becky, why are there even military families in need? The gov needs to take care of people that are protecting their freedom better.
