GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Juniper Ridge Charter school is now officially a part of School District 51.
The contract was voted on at Tuesday's Board of Education meeting and passed unanimously.
Juniper Ridge officials recently signed a sub-lease for a plot of land near 24 1/2 and Patterson Roads to build the school on.
They were looking to use grant money to purchase classroom modules, but couldn't until they were under contract with School District 51.
The modules are anticipated to arrive and be completely set up by July 15 when crews can start focusing on the beautification of the entire area.
Patrick Ebel, the administrator behind Juniper Ridge, says the school is set to open in August and if the current set up plan falls behind schedule, he has a contingency plan to make sure students have a place to go when school starts.
