DENVER (AP) - A Denver company is recalling pet snacks after a state inspection showed the dog food is tainted with salmonella.

Kasel Associates Industries Inc., is recalling all of its products made from April 20 through Sept. 19.

The snacks include pig ears, turkey jerky and hearts of lamb, which are marketed under such names as ``Boots & Barkley'' and ``Bixbi.''

According to the Denver Post salmonella can sicken animals that eat it. It can also harm pet handlers who touch tainted food.

The bacteria can cause diarrhea and vomiting, abdominal cramps and fever.
