GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The holiday party season is beginning to wrap up, and some may have been eating and also drinking more than usual. Consequently, causing those dreadful hangovers.
Too much merriment during this time of the year can sometimes result in a not so happy morning, like some may be facing this New Years day. As bodies recover from alcohol consumption, doctors says the main factor behind hangovers, is dehydration.
Health experts say a cup of black coffee isn't likely to help you get over your hangover any quicker; neither is taking an Advil the second you wake up.
They also say it would take a truly heavy night of drinking to render you still drunk the next morning.
The best way to cure that hangover is rather simple. Health experts say to give back to your body some of what it didn't have while you were drinking. So, fuel with plenty of food to absorb alcohol and sleep to re-energize the body.
