Deadlines Approaching to Send Holiday Mail On Time

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Cards, letters and packages are flooding in to the U.S. Postal Service for the holiday season. This year they'll be delivering more than $18 billion items in December alone.

Deadlines for getting your gifts in the mail are quickly approaching:

Dec. 10: Priority and First-class APO/FPO Military Mail (Afghanistan)
Dec. 14: U.S. Parcel Post (ground) packages
Dec. 17: Express Overseas Military Mail
Dec. 19: Global Express Mail
Dec. 20: Cards and Letters
Dec. 21: Priority Mail
Dec. 22: Express Mail
