DUI Arrests During Superbowl Weekend Increased Dramatically

DENVER- According to Colorado State Patrol, there was a record-breaking number of DUI arrests during the Superbowl weekened.

From Friday, Feb. 1 through Monday, Feb. 4, law enforcement agencies made at least 421 arrests, the highest since the enforcement period was introduced in 2009.

Officals say 138 of those arrests happened on Super Bowl Sunday.

During the same time period in 2012 only 275 arrests were made.

More than 100 law enforcment agencies took part in the statewide initiative.
